Vehicle Wraps

Complete or partial vinyl wraps for vehicles, boats and much more

Transform your vehicle with a complete wrap giving you the colour or style of your choice.

Vehicle wrapping involves applying a speciality film or vinyl to cover all, or part, of a vehicle's surface. In doing so, the vehicle is effectively ‘wrapped’ in either a digitally printed vinyl (this could be of anything you’d like, usually photos or multi-coloured designs) or a colour change vinyl. Since gaining more popularity recently, manufacturers have responded by producing more high performance vinyl along with a wide range of colours and finishes to choose from. Transformations can be amazing if the correct vinyl and application techniques have been used.

Vinyl can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces to change the colour and finish including cars, vans, boats, furniture, fridges, walls, laptops and the list goes on. If you want to know if we can wrap it then please contact us. The ideal surface to adhere to is one with a smooth glass-like finish, but vinyl will also stick to porous surfaces, such as walls, but it may be best to check with a small sample first.

A wrap can be applied to the whole vehicle or specific areas. Popular partial wraps include roof wraps, mirror wraps, bonnet wraps and interior dashboard panel wraps.

There are many colours and finishes to choose from. We have most colours you could want in gloss, matt and metallic finishes as well as a more limited range in carbon fibre, leather, snakeskin and chrome.

Design Services

Some customers know exactly what they want, while others don’t know where to start. At Indy Signs we offer an in-house design service where we will interpret your ideas from initial concept, through to proofing and on to completion. Alternatively, if you have your own logo or design ready to go, we can use that to keep consistency across your brand.

How long will it last?

The life of a vinyl wrap depends on many factors. Exposure to sun, abrasion and jet washing can cause vinyl wrap to dull or fail over time. Some of the colours and finishes will last longer than others and some of the different brands of vinyl wrap will give different lifetimes for their vinyls ranging from 3-10 years. There are a variety of products on the market you can use to improve the lifetime and lustre of your vinyl wrap.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a wrap will vary depending on the surface area of the vehicle, the colour and finish and exactly what gets wrapped. For instance a Smart Car wrapped in white gloss without the door shuts wrapped will be much cheaper than a long wheelbase, high-top van wrapped in gold chrome. Printed wrap is generally more expensive than standard gloss colours. So, it depends on what you’d like wrapped and what you’d like it wrapped in. That said, the average price to wrap the exterior of a medium sized car with a standard vinyl colour is going to be around £2000 plus VAT.

How long does it take to wrap a car or van?

For a full vehicle wrap we would advise that you allow the car be left with us for 5-7 days.

What colours are available?

With the rise in popularity of vehicle wraps in recent years, manufacturers have responded by providing a fantastic choice of colours and finishes that you can choose from. Feel free to pop in to our workshop and look through the range of colours that are available.
